Finally I found my final year research project and believe me, my supervisor is Dr. Nalin Ranasinghe. I forgot to tell u that I have A- for the literature survey and I have been selected as a 4th year student. The project is all about CUDA (compute unified device architecture ) from nvidia. I will put a separate article on my project later but I am now trying to tell you a valuable and important thing I learnt in the voyage of finding a final year project.
My first idea was to do something in the mobile technology and I came up with some crazy ideas and met Dr. Chamath Keppitiyagama. He appreciated my ideas but he pointed out one important aspect of my ideas. It was “ Thinking the solution first and define the problem second “. As soon as he told me that I realized what is the wrong with my project ideas and I think that single sentence gave me the knowledge of thousand books. I understood that the real innovation comes with the “ problem first and the solution second “ methodology and that is why I met Dr. Nalin in order to finding solutions for the increasing performance requirement for the future generation softwares.
